Everything Banana Republic of Germany

Germany soon bankrupt?

Even in the Covid crisis, we are governed by below-average talented politicians (my opinion) who spend our money with full hands. This is the only way to explain that Germany now (as of January 2021) has EUR 2.3 trillion in debt (Taxpayers' Association Debt Clock).

Since our politicians do not dare to undertake any reform and only think about their own income and power, in my opinion they are working against the oath they swore. Our democracy is at an end, partly because there is no accountability for politicians. Every few years we only choose between plague and cholera.

Is Germany bankrupt?

But it is completely clear that with Covid and the lockdowns, the whole of Europe is over-indebted and bankrupt. All control mechanisms are overridden because an increasing Key interest rate could no longer be paid for by the EU countries.

The economy is still running sluggishly, but there is no plan to combat the completely inflated pharmaceutical costs, pensions can no longer be guaranteed in the future and, in my opinion, the economic system is on the verge of collapse.

Now all it takes is one more virus or mutation, an exploding nuclear power plant or any other little thing, and we will run into economic poverty. We are facing a massive devaluation of money and our politicians are unable to prepare for this threat. Reforms would be the way to get out of the crisis.

But why reforms as long as politicians continue to receive their full money?

Mr. Roskothen, you used “strict formulations”.
Spend our money with full hands! Some citizens are happy about the financial blessing.
We will only be bankrupt when no one buys our products and services anymore.
The weakness of our democracy becomes apparent when quick, competent decisions have to be implemented. If you long for a “strong man”, you should keep in mind that you won’t be able to get rid of him so quickly. In the broader environment we have some egomaniacs. And there are more!! I hope that those who want to revive social systems with which we and others have not been successful at all will not win in the next election. Reforms should always be implemented after an impact analysis on all areas of society. Things aren't looking good at the moment. Our crisis is exposing capable and incompetent decision-makers!! Weak guys are no longer in demand

      Dear Mr. Scheuven,

First of all, thank you very much for your comment. I didn't call for strong men, but rather female politicians who take their oath seriously. We had that once, during the time of Helmut Schmidt, and never again after that. I would like to see guys like that at the helm again. People who don't work their way into their own pockets, but take their oath seriously.

In the summer we will see how many taxpayers are left and then God bless us. I am still convinced that Germany will then be bankrupt, especially because other EU countries will then be completely devastated.

      Heartfelt,
      Your Peter
